"Making the American Religious Monster" 
-  Megan Goodwin, PhD, Northwestern University.

Megan Goodwin is a scholar of gender, race, sexuality, politics, and American religions, the program director for Sacred Writes: Public Scholarship on Religion, a Henry R. Luce-funded project hosted by Northeastern University, and a visiting lecturer with Northeastern University's Philosophy and Religion Department. She is the author of Abusing Religion: Literary Persecution, Sex Scandals, and American Minority Religions (Rutgers 2020). 

The Keynote Address will be accompanied by a Reception and Celebration of the 9th Annual American Studies Conference and Program.
