Last Call for Orientation Guest Small Group Chat Facilitators

The Office of Student Engagement Orientation Team is looking for volunteers to facilitate our Guest Small-Group Chats during Orientation this year for the class of 2026. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the chats or need a refresher they serve as a touch point for Guests to ask any questions that they may have, and to connect with each other. Roughly 20 -25 guests will be paired up with a facilitator (hopefully you!) and an NSL. These are informal chats (no PowerPoint presentations and we do not expect you to know everything about everything). We do, however, want you to feel prepared to talk about certain topics, so we provide information and resources designed to assist you in feeling comfortable facilitating the conversations.
We are looking for roughly 30 facilitators, with the time commitment being the 60 minute session during Orientation, plus attendance at 1 of 2 trainings prior to Orientation (to review what to expect/go over during the actual session). We would, of course, love to have you for both Orientation sessions, but we understand if you can’t make that commitment.
The Guest Small-Group Chats are scheduled for the following dates/times:
- June 21, 2022 3:30 - 4:30pm
- June 27, 2022 3:30 - 4:30pm
