Faculty Development Opportunities Available through the Faculty Resource Network

The CAE is please to share faculty development opportunities available through the Faculty Resource Network (FRN), based at New York University.  Upcoming Faculty Resource Network programs included the FRN 2019 National Symposium, Semester Scholar-in-Residence program, and the FRN Network Winter seminars. National Symposium 2019

The Faculty Resource Network 2019 National Symposium focusing on the theme "Critical Conversations and the Academy" will be held on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, 2019, in Miami, Florida.

Faculty members from FRN and non-FRN institutions are welcome to attend the symposium.

Semester Scholar-in-Residence Program

Network Winter 2020

The 2020 Network Winter seminars, which will be held from January 13-17, 2020 at the University of the Sacred Heart (Universidad del Sagrado Corazón) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will provide a comprehensive study of Journeys, examining this theme from various disciplinary perspectives. The schedule will include plenary sessions where each seminar convener will present an overview of their seminar topic to the entire group of program participants.

The following seminars will be offered:
*      Identities in Motion:  The Lived Experience and Theoretical Journeys of Caribbean Diasporas


*     Journeys are Stories:  Plots, Mobility, and Life Writinbg


*     The Entrepreneur’s Journey



Application deadline is Tuesday, October 1 2019.
