New Kognito At-Risk Training recommended for all Faculty & Staff

Location: My.fairfield

Faculty & Staff play an important role in fostering a supportive school culture through building strong connections with students. When students struggle with mental health concerns, it hinders their ability to thrive and succeed both in the classroom and in their daily lives.

Numerous surveys show that and too many college students experience moderate to severe psychological distress; and more than half of college students have experienced “overwhelming anxiety”.   Faculty & Staff members may be the trusted adult that a student will turn to in distress, or they may notice that a student is struggling. This presents an opportunity for Faculty & Staff members to learn how to identify students that may need additional support as well as to help students connect with resources offered at Fairfield.

In order to better prepare Faculty & Staff for this possibility, Kognito At-Risk Training is now available to all.  Please consider taking time to learn strategies with  this 40 minute online course.  The course can be found at My.Fairfield under Kognito.
