Join us for a Renaissance-inspired musical performance with Michael Ciavaglia ‘04, DMA, Visiting Assistant Professor of Music, members of the Connecticut Chamber Choir, and featuring Fairfield Alumnus Tracy Ferguson ’22 with selections from her original musical “Among the Women.”



This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Out of the Kress Vaults: Women in Sacred Renaissance Painting and co-sponsored by the Music Program.

About Out of the Kress Vaults: The exhibition explores representations of femininity and virtue in Renaissance paintings of the Virgin Mary, female saints and martyrs, and nuns. The proposed loans for the exhibition will come from Samuel H. Kress collections at museums and universities including the Austin Arts Center at Trinity College, Harvard Art Museums, the Lowe Museum at the University of Miami, the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College, the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and the National Gallery of Art, with an emphasis on works currently in storage at their home institutions.
