MLK Vision Awards 2023 Nomination Deadline Extended

Fairfield University’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee has extended the nomination deadline for the 2023 Vision Awards until December 2.

The MLK Celebration Committee encourages you to nominate a Fairfield University undergraduate or graduate student, faculty, or staff member who demonstrates a commitment to the ideals and values of Dr. King. These individuals may be unsung heroes, working tirelessly and with humility to advocate for justice and promote unity in our community.

The MLK Celebration Committee would also like to highlight the return of the Community Leader Vision Award. We will recognize a Fairfield County (or Greater Fairfield-Bridgeport area) community leader or activist who embodies the spirit of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We invite you to nominate an individual dedicated to achieving a "more just, humane and peaceful world." (Please note that sitting elected officials are not eligible for the community leader award.)

Please nominate members of our community who have been working toward racial justice, gender equality, environmental justice, immigration, or other important issues. The nomination deadline has been extended to December 2. Please clearly note the award category that you are nominating the person for on the nomination form.
