Making the Transition to Blackboard Ultra Course View

Location: Zoom

As a follow-up to the Faculty Announcement about the transition to Blackboard Ultra Course View from mid-January, we wanted to send an update about upcoming workshops. The CAE and Academic Computing will be holding three hands-on workshops to help faculty make the transition prior to our planned rollout: Tuesday, March 21 from 12:00 to 1:15 pm; Wednesday, March 22 from 5:30 to 6:45 pm; and Thursday, March 23, from 3:00 - 4:15. All of these sessions will take place on Zoom. The registration form is available at https://form.123formbuilder.com/6386949/2023046.

Any faculty who sign up at least one day in advance will have a test course created in Ultra so they can begin learning how to use the course features during these hands-on sessions. We are targeting these sessions at faculty who are teaching graduate courses (since graduate courses will transition first), but all faculty are welcome. As a reminder, please note that all Summer graduate courses will be running in Ultra and we are seeking to have all Undergraduate courses running in Ultra by summer 2024. Summer 2023 courses are now populated in Blackboard.

Academic Computing and the CAE will continue to offer more sessions as needed, and both groups are happy to consult with individual instructors at any time to make sure that everyone’s transitions to the Ultra Course View is as smooth as possible.

Thank you!
