ORG Faculty Colloquium Session Monday March 27

Date: 03-27-2023

Time: 03:30 PM

Location: DiMenna-Nyselius Library Fredrickson Family Lab

Please join us for the second Spring 2023 session of our popular “Faculty Colloquium” series, designed to bring interdisciplinary groups together for informal, creative, and generative conversations on research and programming of interest. Our goal is to help faculty on campus meet others with common interests, expertise, and concerns so that they can engage with one another as collaborators.

Join us Monday, March 27, 3:30 – 5:00pm in the Fredrickson Family Lab (DiMenna-Nyselius Library room 250) for two presentations and conversation around the theme “spanning the globe.”  Both presentations will address ways in which researchers engage the world with their work.

  • Helena Keefe, Associate Professor of Economics

The Impact of the U.S. Covid-19 Response on Remittance Flows to Emerging Market Economies”

  •  Brian Walker, Professor of Biology

“Microplastics are Taking Over the World!  A New Research Focus”

Each presenter will have 20 minutes to describe their projects.  We will then have time for Q&A, and more informal conversation about the presentations over wine and cheese.

We look forward to seeing you!  Join us for what will be a wonderful opportunity to learn from colleagues and share ideas!

See you soon,

Julie, Deb, Katy, and Kathy
