Retirement Planning Seminar - 11/2 & 11/9

AN INVITATION FROM THE OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES

The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce that we are once again sponsoring a Retirement Planning Seminar open to faculty and staff.  This 8 hour seminar will be held on two successive Saturdays, November 2nd and November 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  The seminar will be held in Room 112 in the Conference Center at Fairfield University (old Dolan School of Business). 

The purpose of this program is to provide participants who are considering or near retirement with the opportunity to learn more about those areas which are important to a successful retirement.  Topics will include:
  • Basics of Financial Planning for Retirement
  • Social Security and Medicare
  • Estate Planning Considerations
  • Housing and Location Issues
  • TIAA benefits in Retirement
  • Managing Your Retirement “Nest Egg”
Our Seminar leader is David K. Carboni, PhD.  Dr. Carboni holds a doctorate in Gerontology, and is also a Certified Financial Planner.  An authority in the field of retirement planning, Dr. Carboni has delivered thousands of retirement planning programs nationwide, including workshops for the faculty and staff of Williams College, Amherst College, Yale University, Boston College, and Providence College, among others.

Please be assured that this seminar is being offered strictly as an educational program.  No products or services will be offered.

Enrollment is limited to 35 participants, including spouse or guest, on a first come first served basis.  If you wish to attend, we ask that you respond as soon as possible, no later than Friday, October 18th.
