Would you like to serve as an Advisor for a club on campus?

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Students for St. Baldrick's is currently seeking a full-time member of the Fairfield University faculty, administration, or staff for a new Advisor position during the 2019-2020 academic year.

What is Students for St. Baldrick’s?

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that assists in raising funds for childhood cancer research grants.

The Fairfield chapter of the organization hosts meetings, events, and fundraisers all year long, leading up to their big “Brave the Shave” event in the spring. Last year, Students for St. Baldrick's raised over $13,000 that went towards research and treatments. This is an amazing club on campus that not only does incredible things but helps save lives. We want to keep this organization running as long as possible, and having an Advisor is a necessary step in ensuring this.

What is the role of an Advisor?

Clubs and organizations are required to have an Advisor in order to function and hold meetings on campus. Some Advisors play very active roles within organizations by attending meetings, working with student officers, and assisting in program planning and development.

The Advisor position is a one-year renewable commitment. It is asked that an Advisor will maintain regular contact with the organization and act as a resource to its members. An Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that the club or organization adheres to the mission, policies, and procedures of Fairfield University.
