Campus Food Pantry

Location: Campus Ministry

It's hard to study if you are hungry!

According to Hunger on Campus, 50% of community college students and 47% of students at 4-year institutions report food insecurity at some point during their degree. We can help!

If you know a student struggling with food insecurity, please email me so I can connect them with the food pantry in Campus Ministry, where we have canned food and other dry goods for students at risk of hunger. Through a generous grant from Stop & Shop, we also have gift cards for students to purchase perishables and fresh fruits and vegetables and a “secret shopper” program if students would rather just pick up items they request to reduce the stigma around hunger. I will meet with each student to connect them with other resources on an individual basis. You can email at kbyrnes@fairfield.edu or call at 203-254-4000 x2901.
