CAE Announces Next AI/ChatGPT Discussion Sessions

The CAE invites all faculty and academic staff to join us for our ongoing series of Faculty Learning Community conversations on Artificial Intelligence and its use in teaching and learning. Because we’ve had so much interest in the topic, we will once again be running three sessions during the week of October 16th and opening them all up for anyone to join. There’s no need to register for any of the sessions - just use the unique Zoom link for your preferred session (or sessions!) below.

Prior to participating, we ask all attendees to read the following article, “Reducing AI Anxiety Starts by Talking with Students” (https://www.facultyfocus.com/articles/teaching-with-technology-articles/reducing-ai-anxiety-starts-by-talking-with-students/). We will use this as the jumping off point for our discussion.

Finally, in order to capture the creativity and resourcefulness of our faculty, the CAE has set up a Padlet virtual bulletin board where both full-time and part-time instructors are encouraged to post short summaries of AI-related class assignments or activities that you tried along with some comments on how they worked out. Please feel free to let everyone know what you’re trying so we can all learn from each other.
