This is REAL LIFE "Shark Tank" for any university student that has a idea and is interested in growing their business model, learning from the experts in the field, and competing for $30K in award money!

WHAT IS FAIRFIELD STARTUP? Interested in starting a business but don’t know where to begin? This is it! Fairfield StartUp is an entrepreneurship competition open to all Fairfield University students! Beginning with the Kickoff in September, students participate in educational, networking, and mentoring events designed to develop their business ideas. The program concludes with the Fairfield StartUp Showcase; a “Shark Tank” style entrepreneurship competition. Student’s get the opportunity to negotiate live with investors for seed money to start their business. $30K was awarded last year! Students participating in StartUp work alongside alumni and local business mentors throughout the year to hone their business ideas and pitch presentations skills for the final showcase in April.
