Important information regarding Anthem dental and vision ID cards
As of 1/1/24, Anthem will be combining all of the dental and vision insurance group numbers into one consolidated group number of 006237. New Anthem ID cards will be generated and mailed out in the following situations:
- Employees currently enrolled vision coverage who are not enrolled in dental coverage will receive new cards
- Employees currently enrolled in both dental and vision coverage will receive new cards
- Employees who elected the new dental plan – the Enhanced Flex Essential Choice Dental Complete plan will receive new cards
- Employees enrolling in dental and/or vision for the first time will receive new cards
Employees enrolled dental coverage who are not enrolled in vision coverage and are staying with one of the two dental current plans (Co-Pay Dental or Flex Dental), will not get a new card. Cards should arrive in the mail prior to 1/1/24.
